My favorite thing about Valentines Day is being able to show my family how much I care and love them with extra goodies. It is also a time to remember family members that are no longer here and cherish those sweet memories.

  2. Emmalee Moore says:

My favorite thing about Valentine’s Day is that you get to show everyone how much you care about them. Whether it’s a little card, some chocolate, or some flowers you show people that they are loved. Sometimes people forget how much they are loved and cared about and Valentine’s day reassures that emotion ๐Ÿ™‚ <3

  3. Dawnelle McClellan says:

I love all the romantic movies on tv! And the sales on strawberries at the super market!

  4. Emily Holland says:

Valentines day to me is not the day I show my loved one how much I care about them by buying them things, I would rather do that on a random day of the year. My favorite thing about valentines day is in fact watching how much other people show their love to either their significant others, or family members. It’s the one day of the year you have every excuse to deck yourself out in pink, make heart shaped pankcakes and a day just to remind yourself or someone else what the meaning of true love really is.

  5. Lauren Zeman says:

I love a day that revolves around love! And the chocolate doesnt hurt either ๐Ÿ˜‰

  6. Morgan Hess says:

My favorite thing about Valentines Day is I see everyone show how much they love their family and friends!

  7. Jessica Hawthorne says:

My favorite thing about Valentine’s Day is the hour long emotional rollercoaster in the King Sooper’s card aisle where I go from laughing out loud, blushing at the sexy ones, and the tears and sniffles of a touching card as I look for the perfect one to explain my love. And of course the excuse to watch a romantic comedy movie ๐Ÿ™‚ Happy V-day!

  8. Molly anderdon says:

My favorite thing about valentines day are all the homemade cards and goodies make to show their love. Can’t wait to do that with my boys

  9. Alexandra Reuter says:

The best part about Valentine’s day was the anticipation as a child that has now grown with me as an adult. My best memories of it were growing up and decorating the paper bags in class, with the hopes that on the special day when I opened mine my crush would have picked out a special valentine just for me (because I did for him). I would individually read each note and imagine that classmate when they had selected it for me. To this day I still have a stash from years past of special notes from people dating back to my early elementary days; it is the one holiday a year that your secret admirer can confess their love. As Aladdin said “You’ve sent my hear soaring, Valentine.”

  10. Kerry says:

I love V-day! Perfect reminder to be sweet to our loves, to do something (any sweet gesture counts) to make them smile. What’s not to love about a love-themed day? Kisses, chocolate, quality time and lots of red (my fave color) = perfection.

  11. Treslyn Leigh says:

I love getting to spoil the ones I love with something thoughtful and of course, very cheesy! Valentine’s Day is so great because it just gives everyone the excuse to show love and make others feel special. I also agree that its a pretty awesome excuse to eat chocolate too ๐Ÿ™‚

  12. Rittie Searcy says:

My favorite thing about Valentines Day is the reminder that we are to love regularly. Sometimes life gets busy and we may not say to those we love, that in fact we do love and appreciate them enough. This day brings out memories of childhood, the secret admirer we may have had and who complained about those silly candy hearts with the sayings on them. And now as I write this, I am reminded that I also love Valentines Day for the give-away chances that have been bestowed upon us.

  13. Lauren Chase says:

I love being able to just spend the evening with my husband! It’s a great reminder to just be thankful that we love and are loved by so many that surround us!

  14. Carolyn Mader says:

Besides the love that is in the air, I love the cinnamon hearts at See’s Candies that are only out at Valentine’s. Look forward to it every year!

  15. Caity Lefebvre says:

Love the little things about Valentine’s Day that just remind me of being loved. I don’t care about the presents as much but more just hanging out for a night and not paying attention to anything but each other!

  16. Amanda says:

My favorite thing about Valentine’s Day is surprising my boys with special love notes and treats hidden throughout the house. I also love those sugary pink hearts and cupids that taste like love:)

  17. Denise Barrington says:

Valentines Day for me was much better once my kids got to understand what it was and liked to spend time making crafts for family and friends. I love seeing people getting flowers…specially when it is from their loved ones!!! Awww, the look on their faces – priceless!!!

  18. Payje Bier says:

I love making valentines! It has always been my fave thing about Valentine’s day… here are this year’s! https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10152177357407525&set=pb.506482524.-2207520000.1392182111.&type=3&theater

  19. Rachel says:

My favorite thing about Valentine’s Day is definitely chocolate covered strawberries… And candy hearts!

  20. Kelly Steinway says:

My favorite thing about Valentines Day is hands down the sweets, I have a problem… Otherwise, it would have to be giving my son and husband little(thoughtful) tokens of my love for them!

  21. Rachel says:

My favorite thing about valentines day is that it focuses on LOVE. I find that a hand written note says more than any gift purchased and I tell my husband the things I often think but never seem to say enough. I realize how much I really love the people in my life & how lucky I am to have them.

My second favorite is wine & chocolate. ๐Ÿ˜‰
    XOXO

  22. Sydney Bunzey says:

My favorite thing about Valentine’s day is the cards. I love the sweet, funny and sappy cards. Oh, and I love the chocolate.

  23. Andrea Haase says:

Who doesn’t love a day that is all about love, caring, kisses, hugs, and excitement. But I have to say my favorite part of Valentine’s day are the little sweet cards my children give to me and my husband. The words are so thoughtful and genuine. They truly know the meaning of love and to love unconditionally. Last year my youngest said on her card ” Happy Valentine’s Day mommy and daddy, I love you more than applesauce”. Now that is real love! I will forever keep that card in my hope chest.

  24. Rachel Girouard says:

My favorite thing about valentines day is waking up and seeing my daughter. No present could ever take her place. <3 From the moment I found out I was pregnant she has been the love of my life. I live, work and breathe for her! Of course every year I get her a couple small presents.. peeps are the number one present and this year a book of why I love her. Family and love are the most important rings in life, without those two things we have nothing. <3

  25. Rene Hart says:

I grew up in Loveland, CO and my favorite thing was seeing the big red hearts on the telephone poles all around town. I thought as a kid it was the sweetest thing to have someone want to make a heart for someone they love and have it publically displayed.
When I was 16 my mom was going through a bad divorce, and I wanted to show her how much I loved her. So I saved all my part time job money and had a heart made just for her telling her just how much I love her, then made a map with directions on where to find it.

My favorite part of valentines day is showing someone how much you love them, have loved them, and will continue to love them no matter what life brings.

  26. Adrienne Justus says:

My favorite thing about valentine’s day was definitely the box we got to decorate in elementary school and then passing out valentines at school and wondering who would give you a valentine back? The suspense! As I have grown up, I am a sucker for flowers and now love getting them from and for my Valentine ๐Ÿ™‚

  27. Bri Carruthers says:

When I was little, I remember sitting through the box of Valentines and hand picking the best one for each person. Of course, I had to pick the best ‘lovey dovey’ one for my special valentine. Now, I think about Valentines day and I think about the moments in between this hallmark holiday. It is a time to reflect on the love that I have been given year round, and the love I share with others. What makes Valentines day most special is the small acts of love shown all around us. It is a happier day in a sometimes bitter world! Chocolate covered strawberries are nice too.

  28. Bonnie Robertson Simpson says:

My favorite memory of Valentine’s Day is the indulgence of getting your own box of chocolates and being able to bite into each one and put back the ones you don’t like, resulting in a half eaten box of chocolates for your mom to find! ๐Ÿ™‚

  29. Carla Vandenbark Bornhoft says:

I love that there is a day dedicated to showing those most important to you how much you love them! I love the red hearts, sprinkled cupcakes, balloons – every single thing!

  30. Melanie Stanfill says:

Valentine’s Day to me is looking at what I have right now in my life….waking up early to watch my love sleep peacefully and to smile knowing I made the perfect choice for the rest of my life. To think back on all the lonely Valentine’s Days and to know it was only because I was waiting for that perfect date. To think how much our love has grown in 10 years and to think how many more I will have with my one and only!
