Starting a new little series here on the blog called Vendor Spotlight! It’s not like you don’t know what that means, but I’ll be featuring some of MY FAVORITE wedding vendors in the area so that you all can get to know them better! Today’s feature is Belle Shea Salon! My fave salon in town, where I get my hair done, and I think the girls that work there are just great! Lauren Luquette is the owner of the salon, and she answered the questions below!

First things FIRST! What’s your favorite Starbucks drink?
-French Vanilla Cappuccino

How did you get started? How long have you been in business, etc?
-I started working in a studio by myself, and decided it would be fun to start working with fun, talented stylists again. I decided to move into a double unit and slowly grow in from there! I’ve been in business now for 2 and a half years and loving it!

What’s your favorite thing about your business?
-I love the freedom of my job and that reflects the ability to work with a ton of wonderful people. I love to be a part of weddings and working with my brides on their special day. I also love doing photo shoots and fashion shows and just getting out of the salon and having fun being creative and trying new things!

What advice do you have for brides when booking a vendor like yourself?
Besides the photography that will capture the memories of your special day, I honestly believe that makeup and hair are the next most important things you can book. The cake will get eaten, song fads will change, flowers will die, but you will have pictures for the rest of your life that captures your special wedding event. You want to make sure that you loved everything about your hair and makeup and felt beautiful that day! With the experience that we have, your makeup will be done especially for the photography to compliment your skin and enhance your features, and your hair will compliment your face shape. Don’t let these important things fall to the side, make them a priority!

How far out should a bride book you?
It is best for you to inquire and get information from us as soon as possible, and get your date reserved! As our name is getting spread faster and faster, we are booking up very quickly! Our weddings are booked on a first come, first serve basis, and you don’t want to miss out! It’s never too early!

Do you travel for weddings?
We definitely do travel for our wedding parties and typically do most weddings on site out of the salon. We love to pamper you where it’s most convenient and feels most comfortable for you!

What trends are you seeing in your industry?
Hair pieces and bird cage veils are a little more popular right now. Also more dramatic eye makeup is definitely in!

Anything else you want to share?
